Today was our first class of the week. We were off yesterday due to Memorial Day. It was nice having a longer weekend. Today in class, we took our big unit test. I wish I had been more prepared because I did not do as well as I had hoped. I thought I knew the material better, but obviously I didn't.

Today in class we went over the Rome power point because we have a test on Tuesday. Mr. Schick told us that we are going to write our essay portion in class next Wednesday because his Academic team is going to Chicago and he will not be able to grade our essays in time. So, for our exam we will just have the multiple choice questions.

Today in class we saw two more presentations on Ancient Rome. The first presentation was about the ancient baths. This presentation was very interesting and informative. The second presentation was about crucification. This group actually made a large cross and brought it in. I thought it was very creative.

In Todays class, we continued to watch the movie on Tiberius. The rich people were stealing the poor people's land. Then, Tiberius tried to create new laws so that they could get their land back, but the rich got mad and vetoed the laws. Then, the rich people beat Tiberius to death and dumped him into the Tiber River

Today in class, we learned the new slides that Mr. Schick put on his powerpoint. They compared Ancient Rome and the U.S.A. government. They both contained three branches; Legislative, Judicial, and Executive. They were pretty similar. The main differences were the amount of terms a person could serve and also how long the terms were. There were also a few other small changes between the olden day and today.
